HOW TO APPROACH PAPER-2  

Hello Friends.... 

                My Name is Atul Nagar. I have Cleared UPSC CAPF (AC)-2016 Exam with AIR- 44. I have made a crude strategy for paper-2 ,While i was preparing for Exam. This can help the UPSC CAPF (Assistant commandant) exam - 2018 aspirants. So i am sharing some TIPS from Strategy which i have followed at that time. These tips can guide you, question by question, and point by Point for paper-2.

Note- Please try to take only an idea from this post and don't follow it blindly. I have took an approach that best suited me. Take an idea from it, and try to develope your own approach. 

 

 

Some General Points

• Try to write in bullets to save time. You can use bullets in every question except PRECIS and REPORT WRITING.

•  Include data, tables, graph, Flowchart, diagrams etc in the essay. Don't repeat the information in the words, which u have already given in the diagrams.

• Write the report in proper format to fetch maximum marks.

Time Management

•  Time is an important factor in the second paper. You need to have a strategy to complete it in time.

• You have 200 Marks Paper, that u have to complete in 3 hrs(180 minutes). That mean you have approx 9 minute for a 10 Marks question. Try to follow this thing to complete the paper in given time period.

• Don't write more than 100 words for 10 marks question and 200 words for 20 marks question, no matter how much words have been said to write in the question.This will help you for time management. More words are written just to puzzle you. Write an essay of 20 marks in approx 200-220 Words . If you increase more than it, you probably will not be able to complete other questions.

• Allocate the time to each question according to marks. Generally "Essays" take more time than average, and "Grammar"and "Precis Writing" take less time than Average.

 NOTE- I have tried to give a general idea about it as very few articles have been given about Paper-2, and aspirants have to face a lot of challenge there. I have made these notes for myself when i was preparing, that's why, are a bit Rough, so please ignore that thing.

Try to Practice the previous years questions with this approach so that you can complete the paper on time, there in the exam hall.
